Both, at the right moment. I have presented to investment committees throughout my career and am equally comfortable reviewing a contractor valuation line by line. The detail and the direction are not separate jobs.

I inherited a stalled €80m programme at Pembroke with unresolved contractor disputes and no functioning governance. My approach is always the same: understand the real position first, then build a path from there. I do not paper over problems.

"What do you value in a team?"

People who are direct and take accountability. I have worked across European markets with architects, engineers, contractors, lawyers and investors — the most effective teams are the ones where everyone is clear about what they own.

"What does not work for you?"

Decisions made without the information to support them. I will always push for clarity on cost, risk and programme before committing — not to slow things down, but because the clarity is what makes the decision real.
